There are a few ways that you can land a job with Amazon, and each position comes with its own set of requirements. However, the general process is outlined below.
1. Browse Open Jobs
Before applying for a job, you will want to get a feel for what is out there. Even if you already have a job in mind, browsing through the open jobs could lead you to a better position.

- If you have a specific job in mind, you can search for it in the “Find Jobs” bar found at the top of the page
- If you are not sure what you would like to do, you can view all open jobs by clicking on the “View open jobs” tab found below the search bar
- The filters allow you to view jobs in certain regions and categories and can be helpful when navigating thousands of opportunities
- You can further narrow your search by educational requirements to see only the jobs you have the background to apply for
- Amazon hosts several job events in different areas of the world and attending these can be an effective way to build a network and explore opportunities within the company
- If you know someone who already works with Amazon, you may be able to find job opportunities through them and their existing network
2. Apply for a Job
There may be different hiring processes for different jobs. For example, getting a job at a local warehouse may be as easy as walking in and requesting an interview, while trying to secure a more coveted job may take some standing out.

- If you are interviewing online, make sure you are in a quiet spot that is free from distractions. Additionally, make sure the area looks organized and clean
- Do not be late for the interview. Showing up 5 to 10 minutes early is the best way to make a good impression
- Stay engaged during the interview, and if you are a shy person, try to work on confidence before you go. Roleplaying can be a good way to build confidence before an interview
- Do not tell them your entire life story, but be sure to highlight all your accomplishments and achievements
- Find a way to build rapport with the interviewer and connect on a personal level, this can help them remember you among other candidates. Something as simple as liking the same sports team can make all the difference
- Follow up. This cannot be stressed enough. Employers like to see a candidate who takes the initiative and calls back about the job.
